Scenic Helicopter Elopement – Sedona, Arizona

How to literally feel like you're flying on your wedding day: have a helicopter elopement!

The “adventure” part of adventure Arizona elopement photography was taken very literally for Kayla and Bennet’s celebration in Sedona.

We started with a quiet moment pre-sunrise under the stars, then took a hike on Soldier’s Pass trail to their private ceremony, and wrapped the day with a helicopter tour of Sedona’s red rocks courtesy of Apex Air! This hiking & helicopter elopement celebrated the best of Sedona, Arizona.

The best part of an elopement is being able to do... whatever you want!

This high-flying pair of lovebirds was all about celebrating their elopement, their way. From Kayla’s cape instead of a veil to the post-ceremony kombucha toast, and a mix of digital and film coverage, this day was as unique as their love story.

The trick to Sedona is to find the uncommon

Sedona is starting to have a very deserved reputation as a tourist & elopement destination. That said, there are absolutely ways to celebrate all to yourself like Kayla & Bennet! Even though Seven Sacred Pools is a very popular location, we were able to enjoy a completely private ceremony by scheduling this elopement for an off-season winter month and at sunrise. The runway at Sedona Airport was also free of a crowd!

Adding an adventurous activity like a helicopter ride is an incredible way to make an elopement an even more memorable experience. This was my first time in the air for a wedding, and I do not intend to make it the last!
